Personal Training: The Workout

  • Jun. 15th, 2008 at 10:08 AM
The workout is kinda hard to explain because I don't really have a set routine. The plan is to work out four times a week which I've been pretty good at. Armando thinks that I burn about 1900 calories a day (because I'm working out) so he suggested that I stay within a 1400 calorie daily intake which seems reasonable.

I'll just list the things that Armando made me do (we didn't do all the exercises in one meeting). The workout varies since some of my muscles were still sore and tired from the previous workout so he changes the routine to let the sore muscles recover.

Oh, I suggest using weight gloves too so you won't get callouses.

I'll post the rest later. I would do three sets max for each workout if you can. It's better to do different exercises between sets though so don't do two sets of anything in a row unless you are too tired to do the other exercises. Also, do a 10-15 minute cooldown (I go really slow on the stairmaster) and stretch afterwards.

Personal Training Program: Warm-Up

  • Jun. 10th, 2008 at 4:59 PM
Per bookfairlady's request, here is my personal training schedule. I'm on the "lean and tone" plan (so I'm basically trying to stay the same size but gain more muscle). I'm not very educated on personal trainer lingo and I usually use a lot of hand signs when I talk to my personal trainer about different workouts that we do, but I'll try to explain the best I can or provide a picture.

I just started the actual workout so I really don't know how to do it correctly yet. I'll just describe the warm-up (which feels like a workout by itself).
